We woke at 8am, went to speak to the hotel guy. He said we can hire a tuc tuc for 3 days for $50, and we can see all the temples. We agreed and set off, our tuc tuc driver seemed nice, and drove us to a supermarket first for breakfast. Then we stopped at the gate to angkor to buy our 3 day tickets, these were 40 dollars and had a picture on it so it couldn't be sold on.
First temple was Angkor wat, originally a Hindu temple, using the book as a guide we walked around. We climbed the tower and explored.
Next we went to Angkor thom, where we saw a number of temples. Firstly bayon, a very complicated one that had been rebuilt many times. Then the terrace of elephants, and also the leper king terrace. The final visit was ta phrom.
We finally headed back to the hostel, where we decided to eat on pub street. This was a Khmer BBQ, with snake, crocodile, frogs legs, shrimp, fish and beef dishes. It was a hot BBQ in the middle of the table, and we cooked the food ourselves, including a noodle soup around the outside of the plate.
Next we went to blue pumpkin, a dessert chain around Siam reap, we had waffles.
We went to the night Market, and bought some souvenirs then headed back as we had to wake up early the next day to watch sunrise over Angkor wat.
A new Chinese woman had moved into our dorm, which was otherwise empty except for us. We talked a little and fell asleep.
