Hello! Hope you are all well!
Well we've headed off to Asia and will hopefully be sharing our travels with you guys back home with this blog. We'll be starting in Thailand, landing in Bangkok and staying for 5 nights before heading down to the South East coast starting with Ko Samui then visiting the neighbouring Islands of Ko Tao (the furthest away) and Ko Phangan.
After a spot of beach partying, sunbathing and diving over there we will fly over to the South West side of the coast for more of the same, landing in Phuket before heading on to the nearby Island Ko Phi Phi with a day trip to the next Island Ko Phi Phi Leh.
Following a final night in Phuket we will once again board a local flight to Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand for elephant riding and trekking to see the hilltop tribes. Two nights later we we return again to Bangkok to board yet another plane to Hong Kong.
Here we will spend one night independently before joining our excursion group with Gecko. We will then travel by bike, train and boat up through Yangshou and Guilin then Yichang see the famous Three Gorges and Yangtze River. From here we will travel further up the river to visit Chendu seeing the Giant Buddha and visiting the Wolong Giant Panda reserve. Our next stop will be Xi'an, home of the famous Terracotta Warriors, before carrying on North to Beijing. Here we will soak up the post-Olympic atmosphere before trekking the Great Wall as well as visiting the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square.
Once the tour comes to an end we will either stay a few extra days in Beijing or board a train to Shanghai for a night.
