Although we arrived to rain in Bangkok, our spirits were high as we had a great flight from Hong Kong and we were feeling excited about the new adventures that lied ahead. We both still cant believe that we`re only a week down and many more to go. I have to keep telling myself to chill out and sllllloooooooooooowwwwwwwww down. April pace is far too fast for Asia!

Another pleasing hostel in Bangkok thanks to Dunc and Ness`s recommendation: Lamphu House is a great little hideout! Ash enjoyed the thai food which he felt was an improvement from Hong Kong on the first night after chilling out in a hip restaurant just off Khao San Road. After thinking Ash just missed out on the hot water after having a shower before bed, the following morning I headed to the shower only to spend 10 minutes freezing my arse off. I went to reception and asked when the hot water came on to be told "Sorry miss, no sun, no hot water." How can anyone be annoyed with a sweet thai girl and a reply like this!

Spent the rest of Saturday riding on tuk tuks, sorting out accomodation and train to Chiang Mai and generally dodging the rain. I decided to treat Ash to some real thai food ordering som tam salad (spicy papaya salad) and green and yellow curry for tea. It blew our faces off but lovely all the same! Looking forward to more adventures tomorrow.
