Jonny's South American Adventure!
Flippin' heck!
What a mental few days it has been - so much has happened and I am bound to forget loads of it, but here goes!
Firstly, I think I am still drunk from my birthday celebations last nite! I got in at 9:30am this morning - a fine effort I think! We went out to an amazing steak restaurant and then clubbing, so I think I can safely say I celebrated in style! The hostel we are in is brilliant and we have met some wicked people. There is a group of 5 of us who have booked a flight down to Patagonia in south Argentina - the suntan will definately have to be put on hold for a couple of weeks! Then we are hoping to hire a car and drive up the boarder with Chile, which if it comes of will be an unbelievable experience.
I can't remember some of what we have done, just really been out seeing some of the sights such as Evitas grave, La Boca, the zoo and some museums, coming back to have a siesta (is that how you spell it?) and then partying hard until the wee small hours!
The best value meal I have had so far was an all you can eat steak buffet, bottle of wine and desert all for less than 6 quid. Now thats value!
I thought my Spanish was improving until I asked for a beer with two houses instaed of a beer with two glasses (cassa as opposed to vassa), so I have now given up! I seemed to have lost my cash card which is annoying to say the least, but I did it when I was sober before anyone asks!
Despite the fact that I only got up at 5 o clock this afternoon, I am tired and think I am in need of a siesta, before no doubt having a few beers tonight. Tomorrow should be an amazing day though since I am going to Boca Juniors v River Plate, arguably the most passionate derby in the world!
Seen as I have a complete mind blank, heres a few personal shout outs:
Mum, Dad, Sez: sorry didn't speak too long on my birthday yesterday, will ring again soon. Love you all lots.
Uncle Brian, Auntie Linda & Gran: thanks for the emails and messages. BA, hope you are happy that I have ended up listening to you in terms of venturing south in Argentina!
Bex: stop being naughty!
Stew: I will work on your proposals, and keep me top of FF, i need the winnings to finance a skydive!
Joe Fitz: I'm proud of you quitting smoking, keep up the good work.
Oli & George: hope the house buying is going well.
Vix: hope you are better now and enjoying revising!
Kerry: keep workin hard!
James: dunno when your exams are but sure you will be fine!
HPFC: someone break Gregsons legs so that I will still win the Golden Boot, hope results are good.
Everyone: United can still win the league - never lose faith! Will somebody please punch Drogba for me.
There will be muchas fotos next time, I'm not even going to explain why there aren't any now!
It is one of my mates birthday today and I have just bumped into a couple I met in Budapest, so there is definate potential for another big nite, plus that would mean I don't have to sober up from last nite hehe!!
