Firstly, apologies for the randomness of Fraser Island map...we are def not in Western Australia and as far as we know Fraser Island is on the East coast so no, your not going crazy James!

After Fraser Island we returned to Rainbow Beach ready to go Dolphin and Whale kayaking but unfortunately we were completely rained out and this got cancelled :( very disappointing.

Keeping our spirits up thogh we headed to Noosa along with some people we met on fraser island, and went to thw Australia Zoo. This was a really good experience as we finally got to see some famous oz animals! We hand fed kangaroos, saw lots of random animals and went to the famous Crocoseum show where salties were hand fed!! I also had a cuddle and photo with a koala which was amazing but Vicki opted out! The Zoo, having just had the first year anniversary was clearly still in mourning for Steve Irwin. There are memorials and flowers as well as a designated area to his memory in the Zoo.

The rain continued to pour so we spent the evening inside our hostel watching tv and chilling out. The sun returned in full force this morning though and we were very excited to wake up to a pure blue sky so headed straight for beach! Our over excitement caused us to miss our life to the bus station though and so we had to call a taxi! oops!

We arrived in Brisbane at about 12.30 today and have spent the afternoon walking around the city and getting used to being in a busy place again! We will head to Surfers Paradise 2moro to soak up the sun as my tan has faded dramatically and Vickis is struggling to get started! The next four or five days will be spent on the beach at Surfers and Byron so hopefully the weather will hold good for us! Oh and we mite jump out of a plane soon too but dnt worry mums....we wont tell you until we are safely back on solid ground!
