Hello everyone,
I bet you thought I had gone missing or something considering how long its been since I put up a blog but the honest truth is that America (home of the internet) has virtually no internet cafes and when they do they charge a ridiculous amount.
I am currently in good old Las Vegas in an internet cafe in one of the big casinos off the strip and this will only be brief due to the cost of doing this.
Well on Wednesday 11th June I commenced my grand trek from New York with 12 other people and an awesome trek guide named Justin. We drove to Niagara falls and went on an awesome roller coaster park in ohio then arrived in chicago for a couple of days. Chicago is such a quality city and I loved looking around the skyscrapers, parks and shops and would love to go again. On the sunday we drove west across the mississippi onto the great plains and the badlands on some very lopng 10 hour drive days. We stayed in a lodge for a couple of nights having a great time drinking and relaxing then saw mount rushmore and the crazy horse monument. After we drove into wyoming to a cowqboy town called Cody to see a rodeo then spent a while int he beautiful national park of yellowstone seeing hot springs, geysers, breathtaking canyons and a bunch of wildlife including loads of buffalo, grizzy and black bears and elk. We drove south to the grand teton national park to do a hike and see some moose then stopped in the town of jackson hole before continuing onto idaho and through nevada (desert) to lake tahoe where we had a good night drinking then spent the day ater relaxing on a raft down a river. Yosemite national park was next which is full of mountains and large trees including the big sequoias. There I did a 9 hour hike to the summit of half dome which was amazing but literally almost killed me as i practically passed out at the top due to lack of water and the heat. We then drove to san francisco where i had a couple of good nights and saw lots of the city including alcatraz and the golden gate bridge which i walked across and got a boat under. We spent a couple of days driving down the pretty californian coast to los angeles to see hollywood and do universal studios. On Tuesday we had a meal and said goodbye to Justin and half the group then picked up another trek leader and 6 different people to go to disneyland on july 4th and had an awesome time doing everything. Yesterday we drove to las vegas in the 45 celcius heat (almost a record temp.) and went in the hotel pool before drinking, going out for a nice meal and a limousine and walking around till 5am in the casinos and bars (great).
Well I had better go and see more casinos and stuff. will hopefully be on here in a couple of weeks in new orleans or something
bye bye
