We headed out to Noosa and spent our first night there in Dolphin Backpackers. The next day we checked in to Flashpackers, our favourite hostel so far. That day the sun came out at last and we finally felt like we were in Australia. We went on a local tour visiting Laguna lookout and climbed up a mountain top overlooking the whole Noosa area. On New Year's Eve in true Australian style we had a sausage sizzle at the hostel which included free campaign. We then stayed at the hostel with some others playing drinking games, before heading down to the beach for a firework display. However, due to it being only a two minute firework display and us being two minutes late we missed the whole thing...Not impressed!!!!

On New Year's Day, we visited our first Australian Beach, but after only an hour it began to rain so we headed back. Due to all the bad weather up North we have decided not to head up to Fraser Island, Whitsundays or the Great Barrier Reef as the rain and floods would ruin the experience. We have instead headed back south along the East Coast promising ourselves that we will come back on holiday to do them.
