So wow... Where to start... Vegas.. Hmmm well we arrived Friday afternoon after leaving the Canyon we drove on Historic Route 66!

Even 20kms away you can see Vegas appear on the horizon... Tall odd shaped buildings but because it was day there was no lights... :-(

So we arrived on the strip and I was just pinching myself I couldn't believe I was in Las Vegas! We arrived at our hotel, home for the next few nights

We had a little time to wait for our keys as we made good time! So we all packed out the already packed out lobby! Once we arrived in our rooms it wasn't long before we were dressed and ready to hit the town... We went down to the Vegas Sign.

Then it was back into the bus to do some sightseeing on the strip before dinner at Buca Di Beppo a nice little Italian restaurant just off the strip.

As our dinner wound up it was FINALLY time to see Vegas strip at night...!!!

We headed up towards Freemont Street, but there was a little stop to be made, Tony our Contiki tour guide had told us a few days earlier a story about his first time in Vegas and getting married to a good friend but had in annulled 12 hours later. He took us to the Graceland chapel.

Two of the people on our tour got married in Vegas, it wasn't real or anything but it was good to watch. Tony then advised is that it was the Contiki surprise and also confessed he never had gotten married in Vegas.

Once we left there we headed to Freemont street to watch an amazing light show mixed to music by Queen, it totally rocked HARD!! the whole street was singing along!

When we left there it was time to hit one of the most popular night clubs, Rain

While we were waiting we were told that Reverend Run from Run DMC was the guest DJ that night.

It was pretty awesome but then I read on the wall that this weekend coming August 26 DJ Jazzy Jeff was DJ'ing GGRRRR soooo jealous...

We left there a little before 1am and headed to the Strip again taking in everything that was Las Vegas

Went in and played the slots they pay pretty well and I didn't need my usual good luck charm!! LMAO!!

And eventually I decided to head to bed at about 3am... To Ready myself to stare death in the face!!

But that's for another blog :-p a little later and trust me it's worth it!.
