Today we went to the top of the Empire State Building, it was great. There was a simulated helicopter ride over New York. Anthony hated it! Said it was like having a violent hangover, sweats and all. He had recovered himself in the photo. Spent the morning in Macy's. A great store, great prices and quite a bit of fun, especially with the current exchange rate.

Spent the day on the Red hop on/ off bus on Manhattan getting our bearings. A big, loud place, plenty to see and do. Traffic chaotic, not as bad as Cairo, they at least try to keep some order here. Got tickets to Chicago the musical, it was a bit of fun, Americans actually poking fun at themselves and their striving for celebrity status.

Well we're in NYC. Times Square is just a few blocks down the road from our hotel and we're right in the middle of the theatre district. A 10 minute walk in the other direction to Central Park. A busy vibrant exciting place, and we felt safe as we explored and there was lots of exploring!

Miami Beach pleasant enough drive from Key West. (traffic much better and we knew what to expect). Dream Hotel has really interesting decor, very contemporary. Kathy and I just walking the beaches and streets.

Took a bike ride around South Beach and Marina. It was lovely. They have a great bike loan scheme, called Deco bikes. South beach was a busy place, shops, restaurants ..... Surfers Paradise on steroids. Most importantly, found a great Tommy Shop. Posting this from 7th Av NYC; thank you for wifi Mr Starbucks!
