Had a great day wandering around Montmartre. Took the tourist train to Sacre Coeur (Sacred Heart) Cathedral. It is a wonderful church, in a beautiful spot overlooking Paris. We said a prayer for Mum (Nita) who is not so well at the moment, then after looking around the top, went back down again for nails and dinner in an Irish pub.

Nice relaxing start to the day, with visits to Post Office and Monoprix (electrical cords for music equipment) followed by leisurely breakfast / brunch at s-bucks across from Moulin Rouge. Suns out and it is quite pleasant.

Well here we are in Montmartre, arriving at 4pm. A wonderfully uneventful trip from Rome which included very interesting drives to the airport. Rome traffic was a bit of a free for all, and as we walked out of Orly airport a driver offered to take us. After being told by a rep of a shuttle bus company that we could not get a taxi for 4. 'It was illegal' .
