We booked a trip to a place called 'Lady Musgrave Island' which is the start of the Great Barrier Reef. The boat was a bit choppy and there were people in the lower deck chundering all the way. We moved to Hervey bay and arranged to meet Paul and Toby again after settling into our new campsite. We arranged to have dinner with them that night, so we bought loads of fish and french bread and then took a nice walk down the pier and back. We were planning our next move up the coast when we got a call from Paul Collins (who we'd seen in Newcastle). He was in a place called Rainbow Beach camping with his son Toby, so we arrange to go their a camp with him for a night. Rainbow beach is a national park so we only had to pay $5 each a night to stay there but there are no showers only toilets (non-flushing holes in the ground type) - stinky!... On our first day in Brisbane, we decided to treat ourselves to a meal out so we caught the bus into Brisbane town centre. We went for a steak and red wine meal (yumbley!) and then got a taxi back later. The following day we drove to the Australia Zoo, which is run by Steve Irwins family. We took it in turns to drive to Nimbin and when we arrived in the town, there were police all over the place with dogs and other policy type stuff. We called Ants auntie Deb's and she said she'd come and meet us in an hour or so, so we went for a wonder around the shops and stopped to have a beer.
