Hello Everyone!
Well maybe we should start out by saying thank you for visiting our blog and supporting us during our planning stages and the upcoming 8 months. We would be lost without knowing that we can always count on you!
Most of you might not know this but we actually have been planning this trip for quite some time. I (Sabrina) threw the thought out there the first time a little over a year ago but it only became real when we met up again for the first time after 2 years last October. So now, almost 9 months later, we are sitting together in Lake Louise, Canada and try to accustom ourselves to unemployment (not too bad so far!), the thought of living out of a "small" backpack for the next months and sleeping in different beds - in different cities every week. The last few weeks/days have been all about saying good-bye, deciding what to pack and what to leave behind, planning the first few stages of our trip, more saying good-bye and more booking; inbetween we try to enjoy the last days and stay as calm as possible.
The adventure is about to start and we will try our best to have weekly updates for you!

Patricia Don't you worry you two - you will have a blast! Carel and I just came back from our 6 month trip and it has been such an adventure! (I could go again....) Here are two good tips for you: bring ear plugs for those noisy nights in dorms and either an ipad or kindle for those long bus journeys ahead of you! (Oh, and never take a tuk tuk or taxi from the guy when you get off the bus! They always try to rip you off!) Other than that enjoy every moment! Stay safe
