Off to Hue which is set on the Perfume River north of Hoi An. We went via the Hai Van Pass which is pretty spectacular. Stopped do a coffee at the top or thereabouts and were swarmed by street sellers. The view was great though!!!! TBC

Flew to Hoi An from Han Oi this afternoon, it was once the most active trading centre in Vietnam.

I cannot edit the Ha Long title for some reason!!!! This morning we went to visit the Catholic Phat Diem Cathedral about 30km south of Ninh Binh. It was completed in 1898. Went back to Han Oi then we flew south to Hoi An which was Vietnam's most active trading centre for many centuries. To be continued.

Well we got on the bus this morning knowing there was typhoon pending of the coast with Halong Bay in it's sights and sure as, we got the good news / bad news scenario!! Day 1 of our tour we start again in Ha Noi with our cyclo trip around the Old Quarter. Fortunately or unfortunately I was as the front of the 14 'bikes' so I really had the full on view of the oncoming traffic as we crossed roads with and without lights and wove in and out of bikes, cyclos, motorbikes, scooters and of course not to mention cars!
