The Grand Canyon, of course, was one of our much anticipated stops. We opted to enter the East entrance of the South Rim. Our communications from Salisbury were reporting 78 degrees. Our view topped the Crown Center no doubt, but we froze all day. Ryan, as many can guess, wore shorts BUT it was cold. There's something misleading about Arizona...sounds hot, but NOT. I would say all thought the Canyon was spectacular.
Ryan: Couldn't get over the size. I guess the word Grand for 41 years wasn't convincing enough.
Angie: Couldn't get over the colors. I would add that I commented almost as much as I do about a pretty, red tomato!! (That was for Julie's benefit:), but I think she's reading this less than anybody!!!!!:)
Callie: It's amazing, beautiful. I mean....it's just like ALL day the same Canyon!!!
Connor: This is lit. It's like sick the pictures I'm getting. I am the best photographer in the family. Oh yeah.....and there's the helicopter, which is really how I wanted to see this thing.
Casey: You all are the worst parents ever. This is stupid. All of those non-English speaking people are out on that ledge, past the railing....there's a trail there for a reason Mom. I promise I will not slip on those loose rocks and fall, as if people intend to do THAT. Whatever...this is no fun!
Camille: Wow! If mom and dad think it's amazing...so do I. I'm just so thankful for this day. BUT.....do we have to walk more????!!!
Moving on to Phoenix and hoping for a wee bit of warmth and some REST. The travelers are a bit weary and need a day or two to regroup from the last few amazing days!!!
