I'm coming to the end of Christmas Day, 'the first we have not been together since your birth', as it says in mum's card. She also said, 'I'm so very glad you are doing what you always wanted to do. My wish from the day you were born was that all your wishes come true'. So I spent the day touring along the Great Ocean Road, built by soldiers returning from World War 1, as a memorial, and a work project. It's a spectacular drive or ride. Saw limestone rocks called the 12 Apostles, 7 left, and this recently collapsed rock which they call London Bridge. Passed through coastal towns, viewed the coast & waves from a Cape & lookouts, saw Shipwreck Bay and listened to the tales. Managed a little swim at Apollo Bay and lunched on a Turkish Borek on the beach. Saw a sleeping koala and met a cyclists who's been away for 2 years -,www.cyclingtheglobe.com
So have a good day with your family and friends, I'm raising a Coopers Pale Ale to you, then it's bedtime Down Under. Happy Christmas x
