This day involved travelling most of the day to the second largest city on Tibet - Shigatse.

On the way we stopped off to visit a Tibetan farming family who made us very welcome. I highly recommend the barley beer!

We stopped at a number of sites on the way and finished at Shigatse late afternoon. Before checking into the hotel we visited the Tashi Lhunpo Monastery which houses the largest Buddha in the world. No photos allowed I'm afraid. Great views over the city though.
