Hey folks! Welcome to the first entry to my blog.

Well.....I made it but not without casualties! I was due to be accompanied by Del-Boy the bear (courtesy of my friends at the Griffin public house!) but sadly he fell foul of a sneaky baggage handler and was lost in transit between Heathrow and Bangkok! I will endeavour to find another travel companion soon though.

I'm writing this entry from my hotel reception with Bob Marley pumping out and the temperature hovering around the 33 dergee mark. There's just been an almighty rainstorm too but hopefully that's over for the night now and I can head off into the Koh Sahn road to find some liquid refreshment.

I must confess to feeling a little lonely right now but I'm sure that will pass once I start my exploring in earnest tomorrow.
