Bus and Tent!
After getting back late yesterday it was about 12 by the time we dragged ourselves out of bed this morning. We were having some toast and jam for breakfast when a nice lady came in and gave us a cup of home made raspberry jam which she makes herself, very kind! :) We tried once more to find some reasonably priced accommodation and when we eventually got fed up we decided to go book the bus and buy a tent instead. Booking our tickets on the bus was relatively straight forward although we did have to traipse around the 5 or so different offices for Pullman buses (every other company has a similar number as well meaning it can be extremely difficult to find the correct one!) and when we had booked our place we found out that his card machine woudn't accept our cards so we had to go to the cash machine outside. Once done we asked at the tourist info office whether there was a camping shop in town, she didn't know but pointed us to a road where all the shops are located and said if there was it would be there... We spent the next hour or so looking along this road but we couldn't find a proper shop, however we did manage to get a reasonably priced tent in a big department store instead. That done we came back to the hostel and prepared ourselves some Spaghetti Carbonara for dinner, which was really nice!! That night we once again headed to El Huevo and this time had to pay the full entance fee of $8 each (pricey) as there was no discounted rates. We arrived at about 12 and headed straight away to the Salsa room where there were a couple of people dancing, it wasn't as good as the night before as fewer actual dancers were here and the DJ seemed to play more merengue! However we still both had a good night and got plenty of practice in both Salsa and Bachata until about 3:30 when the merengue took over. We decided at this point to go look at the basement which was not open the day before and discovered a cool little venue where live Metal bands play every saturday. (Chileans love Rock and Metal!) We arrived just in time to hear the last few songs of a Chilean Metallica tribute group and sat watching them until they finished. This meant we left the club about 4 and got to bed about 4:30.
