The last few days have gone by far too quickly! i have had such a good time! melbourne is such a nice city. i have been stayin with my good friend Bryan from uni, and his girlfriend Lani, they have been so good to me, showing me the city and cooking me some wonderful meals!
i spent my first evening here training with bryans football team, the facilities were superb, and it was great to play in nice weather, it hasnt rained here for 4 mths! we went out on the friday for some drinks with Lani's work, it was a leaving party, she works in advertising, needless to say there were stunning girls everywhere i looked! we didnt stay out late as we had a very important football match the nx morning, as well as the fact it was st patty's day!
The football was good, it was an irish team against the rest of the world, all players from bryans club! the first half did not go well for us irish boys, some poor defending left us 5-1 down at half time! i was strugglin with the heat, not too mention the lack of training for at least 2 mths! thankfully we manage to restore some proud and pull it back to 5-4 (urs truly scoring a hat trick!) before succumbing to a late goal, mainly due to having 1 defender bak!
That afternoon we headed into an irish bar to start the festivities, cant remember its name but the owners had hired out the park beside it, in which there was a live music stage! there was an unbelievable amount ot people there, at least 2000! met so many irish, and many more who either claimed to be or wanted to be!we were on the guiness's from about 4 o clock! i am afraid my memory is a bit hazy after about 9, but it was a brilliant night!
Lani and Bryan took me sightseeing the next day, we went to the stree in which they film neighbours, it was so cool, the street is pretty small, only about 6 houses or so! i will b watchin tomoro with excitement!
we then went down to St Kilda beach, it is dead close to the city, really nice beach qith lots to do. tho as it was quite late we just bought some giant ice cream before headin bak for a sunday roast!
I am flyin up to sydney tomoro for a few days, but i will definitley come bak here in a few mths to find work, really liked it here, there is a great crowd of people here, and i would really enjoy the football!
