We finally made it!!!! We are ssooo sick of travelling by bus its untrue! We got here at midnight on Sunday, and after finally finding our hostel, we had a good scrub and then crashed out!

Paraty is gorgeous - jungle all the way to the coast, then white sandy beaches and loads of islands just off shore. It was beautiful weather at first, and we even got in a spot of sun bathing! However, it has been raining or threatening to rain ever since! It is still very much shorts and tshirt weather tho, which is nice.

Have been mooching about the town and strolling around the coast over the past few days, eating great food and enjoying cobbled streets and colonial architechture. Ahhh.... we have finally relaxed! It feels like we are on holiday!

If the weather clears up a bit, we hope to go island hopping and maybe go snorkelling. Tomorrow we will probably hire bikes and go exploring.

This is the life!

p.s. ooo, by the way, you know we said we were a bit apprehensive bout walking through the pantanal barefoot? well, Sophie pulled something out of her foot yesterday that looked like some kind of parasite!!!!!! ewwww!!!!
