Hi guys, I have had a brilliant time so far, but some of these journeys are so long winded - I don't know why I don't just get a plane - oh yeah save money! Since I last blogged I went by train to Sumitthali (this was the longest journey I have had in my life; well until recently) Train arrived about an hour & half late which is generally good timing over here! Went onwards to Phuket city, where I have never seen so many hairdressers in my life - it seemed nearly every other store was a hairdresser - could not fathom how they all could make business. The city was not spectacular but went down there for the beaches. I stayed in Karon, Kata & Pationg Beaches on different nights. My favourite place was karon - thought it was the most remote, sea is amazing (calm & warm). Got hassled to buy a suit so many times it was getting ridiculous - but prevailed in the end.
After Phuket went onto Krabi by bus after advise from Gerry who has been there. It was a totally different scene to the rest of the places I been to in Thailand. It was very chilled out & relaxing - with no hassle from proprioters, also cheapest place stayed yet (food/accommadation). Had a lovely time & there were quite a few British/Australian people there that I met. While there went on some island tours where the beaches are out of this world - white sand, just stunning. Climbed 1,237 steps to Tiger mountain where there were this huge Buddha, bloody knackering - had to stop upteen times but worth it for the views. From Krabi onto PhiPhi island, relatively expensive there but stunning & some crazy youngsters on the beach parties - stayed a couple night's there & thought it was enough.
Got a boat back to Phuket from PP & this time then a bus straight back to Bangkok (was a 14 hour journey). I swear I was sat to the noisiest snorer ever, I know some of you think that is impressive compared to what I can produce. That was a fun journey! Spent a couple of night's in Bangkok again - spent time with Gan in the city, giving me advise on places to go etc that I did not do first time round. Went on river boat cruise, temple, royal palace - all the usual tourist stuff. Decided to move on today (12th) from Bangkok just in case this demos get out of hand - I'm sure it will be fine. Now I am in Aytthaya whuch is north of Bangkok - seems ok - quite an historic city that I can make out - further explore tomorrow. Will get pics up soon of my travels. Take care dudes!
