Right, I'm getting in the swing of this online diary, so here goes with what we have done and seen so far. I will upload photos as soon as I can, but at the moment the computers that I am using are crap and you have to pay per ten minutes.
So yesterday we had to be at a baseball game in the evening, which was near down town LA, so we decided that it may be a good day to go on a grand tour of LA and see the sites of Hollywood and the surrounding areas. We did some very exciting things and saw some great sites (some of which suprprised us more that we could of imagined). We took the train through some real dodgy parts of LA, near Compton and also Crenshaw, which was fairly interesting, then got to down town LA for a look around.
There wasn't a great deal to see there, so we pushed on to Hollywood, which was far more interesting. I wont say a great deal as I am a firm believer that a picture is worth a thousand words.
We then went to the baseball game, which was very good but lasts a long time so we had to leave before the end. The final score was San Francisco Giants 7 LA Dodgers 5 , but it was good seeing the best batter in the league (Barry Bonds) hit a home run with bases loaded (which means there was a man on each base and they got four points from it). Don't even bother with the hot dogs over here though (Well in the stadium anyway) as they are tiny and you have to wait in line for ages.
I am afraid to say that afer all the travelling there and back once we got to the hostel we just crashed out. (Well after nearly getting lost anyway). We did see a blind homeless guy on the train who's party trick was to sing, dance and take out his eyes (yes, both of them), didn't feel like eating that night.
Today we have come to Venice beach but have been travelling most of the day so haven't seen a great deal except Elijah Wood in the post office, unfortunately we didn't get a photo because I just thought it was someone who looked like him until the boys told me otherwise. He was lining up for Star Wars stamps (the geek)
Muscle beach was fairly disappointing, as there only seemed to be a couple of fifty year olds wearing thongs lifting a couple of small weights. I was gonna flex the guns but didn't wanna show off.
Anyway, as I say, I will upload the photos as soon as I can and then I wont have to drone on like this.
Peace
