I have survived the adventurs up river and now find myself back on dry land and in relative civilisation again! Having left Luang Prabang early in the morning we took a very misty, chilly and picturesque boat joutney along the Mekong and then on to the Nam Khan foir our jorney of six hours north to Knong Kiew. The scenery was amazing and once the sun came out I didn't feel so out of place with everyone else wrapped up in jumpers and me in my shorts and t-shirt!! Lots of pictures were taken and it was a very scenic if not a little uncomfortable. Laos is a great country to visit but the one problem is that, due to the terrain, travelling is quite labourious and will require either a lengthy boat trip or an eq
