The village of Roussillon in the background, a beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky, just the jetstreams. It starts off chilly and then very warm. Thankfully threw a couple of cooler items into the bag. As it was had to take off layer after layer.

High on a hill Roussillon is surrounded by red earth cliffs and quarries from which the brickwork has quite obviously been made. Lots of galleries, a town with very narrow cobbled streets and buildings literally on top of one another.

Today we drove around to about five villages in our Renault rental and parked in each and went exploring. Goult has a 13th century gothic church and is surrounded by a 17 th century castle high up on a hill with terraces for farming, still in use as evidenced by a well used Polaris farm quad parked in the village car park.

We have arrived in Provence, the house is great, a stone villa set on a hectare within a farm with a few similar places dotted around. Owned by some people from Paris. Christine who looks after it and met us speaks not a word of English so that was an interesting challenge since we only speak Italian! Provence has a whole lot of medieval villages here and we are off for a look around.

In this little village of Goult, which apparently is one of the least visited is this little windmill which guessing by the French info is of historical significance and old. It was called Moulin d'Jerusalem.
