Well it´s a little overdue but we thought it was time to update you on Macchu Picchu and the Inca trail. We left Lima a day early as we weren't massive fans of it, and the fact that our hostel overcharged us by about £40 for the room we definitely don't have fond feelings for the place. I have to give Casson his due here though, he argued the toss for about an hour before giving up! Anyway, we jumped in a taxi to the bus station, arrived in plenty of time so Casson went to check which platform we were going from. 5 minutes later he rushed over and started flinging...

The Peruvians like to queue ..... A LOT! Well over an hour before we were due to fly they'd formed a queue at the boarding gate and it was pointless as they boarded us by seat number, they also have a ridiculous amount of luggage. The flight was fine, we both slept for most of it and then when we got off that's when the queuing went to a whole new level. Imagine the luggage carousel with every family member each with a trolley right up to the edge of the belt. Y...

Thought it was time to kick off the blog with our first entry. We got to Gatwick in plenty of time for our flight, checked in and did what any average Brit does at the airport .... hit the bar! This is when it all started to go wrong. There was an emergency landing at Gatwick so all the runways closed and our incoming plane couldn't land and was diverted to Stanstead.
