On Sunday, we explored New York! To start the day, we woke up at 6:30am, ate a yummy breakfast, and hopped on the bus at 8:15am. From the hotel, we were dropped off at the farry to take us to the Statue of Liberty. We rode the boat for about 10 minutes until we reached our destination, Statue of Liberty! The Statue of Liberty was insane and beautiful! I took WAY to many pictures! After the Statue of Liberty, we took a farry to Ellis Island. At Ellis Island, we got to experience the historical musuem where the immigrants would come to. We then rode the farry back to Battery Park, and walked to Wall Street. At Wall Street, we took a ton of pictures at the street signs and in front of the George Washington statue. Soon after, we walked about three blocks for our scattered lunch. I ate lunch at scrumptious meal at Pronto's pizza! We were also given time to shop for souvenirs from New York at this time. About two hours later, we took at short walk to the 9/11 memorial. At the memorial, we discussed about the survivor tree, the white roses on the the remembered names, and the similarities between the OKC bombing and this memorial. We then, went inside to the museum of the 9/11 memorial. In the museum, we respected the memory of 9/11 and experienced the full tragedy of the 9/11. After the 9/11 museum, we drove to eat dinner at the yummy, Southern Hospitality! To end the day, we headed to the Empire State Building. At the Empire State Building, we took a TON of pictures and stared at the amazing view! We then, hopped on the bus and went to the hotel for a good nights rest.
