On the first Friday, we woke up at 6am to prepare for the day ahead. First, we returned to Little Italy to learn about tenement fchousing and Paul Revere's house. Then, we walked over to the Old North Church. At Old North Church, we got to experience a tour of the inside of the church and listen to a presentation. Shortly after, we headed down to Granary Burial Grounds where John Hancock, Benjamin Franklin's family, Sam Adams, and Paul Revere's graves and bodies are located. We then hopped on the bus to drive down to Harvard. On the way to Harvard, we got to experience the campus and university of MIT. Once we reached Harvard, we walked into the gate and headed to the John Harvard statue; which brings good luck if you rub the foot of the statue. After the statue, we took a short walk to the Boston Library on Harvard campus. Then, we finally got to eat lunch! We ate lunch at Bartley's Burgers, which was delicious! Once lunch was over, we drove about 45 minutes to Lexington. At Lexington, we admired the land, and the history of the place itself. My favorite part was next, Concord! In Concord, we visited William Emerson and his family's home where they watched the Battle of Concord. We walked towards the North Bridge to see where the Battle of Concord was fought. After Concord, we headed to dinner at Uno's pizza in Boston. To end the day, we walked more of the freedom trail and got to experience more historical locations and events.
