Hi Friends!!

Its been ages since I updated this thing!! Here's a rundown: Had a fab vacation in Thailand in October... came back to angry boss... enjoyed Korea despite boss... boss got worse,... yadda yadda... left job, went home for Christmas... came back to new job in Korea... NEW company NEW city NEWness all around!

I'm now in Seoul, Korea and I LOVE it! I have a 20th floor apartment in a VERY happening district of Seoul. My school seems terrific, the boss is a very sweet lady, and my coworkers are great people (mostly Canadian). Its amazing what a difference it makes when the management actually cares about the students' well-being.

Its been fun to come back to the things I know about Korea... the food, the quirks, the friends I had made before. Its strange how comforting and familiar a strange and quirky place can be! I am not completely setted yet. I will get internet and my phone in a week or two. But I'm doing well. I'm excited about the opportunities I have this second time around! I went to Songtan today (near my previous city) and had lunch at my favorite little Thai restaurant. The little ladies remembered me by name! How sweet!

There's so much I want to see and do here! I will keep you posted on my adventures as they happen!

FUNNY STORY! There are security guards who are posted just outside my apartment. Everyday I pass them, and one in particular seems to have taken a liking to me. (He's probably in his 50s) He doesn't speak much English. I walked by one day and he stopped me to motion a thumbs-up gesture about my hair! Then one day he walked with me for a little bit, and as I rushed off he called, "You... come back and see me!" LOL Goofy old guy.

PLEASE PRAY: That I will be able to stay abreast of the new challenges of my new school

That I will find and plug into a life-giving community of believers. Its so important! I saw a cheesy tele-evangelist program on TV and it was so nice! Its funny how comforting a silly TV program can be when you're far from home.

That I would be sensitive to the Big Guy's leading in my life. I want control, but its not for me to have. There's some song from some American Idol star called, "Jesus Take The Wheel." I don't know the song, nor do I follow AI, but what a great title! SUCH a prayer for my life!

I pray that there's not a sleeping monster under everything that seems so good about my new situation. That would be bad.
