Hello! So Vic & I are now in Melbourne since Mon 21st. We are staying with my cousin Amanda and her fioncee Peter. For anyone that didn't know I have a nan, Aunty, Uncle and three cousins living here in Melbourne which I haven't seen for about 11yrs!! So it was quite a reunion. Everyone has been so kind and helpful especially my cousin Amanda who has put us up and cooks for us and helping us to find jobs. I am working now since last Mon for a property compnay doing general admin for the managers and reception relief. Vic is looking for work still but we haven't been here long so I'm sure something will turn up. The journey from Cairns to melbourne was fantastic apart from the long amounts of time having to sit on the bus! Ayres Rock was an awesome sight! People say oh it's just a rock but it wasn't it was remarkable. We also visited a small town in the middle of nowhere in South Australia called Cooper Pedy it is a opal mining town and was quite eery as it looked like the end of the world, bits of odd mountain shapes and dirt piles from the mines also people lived under ground to escape the heat it was so stange. Pitch Black and Mad MAx 3 was filmed there we actually saw the space ship from Pitch Black. We haven't done much as we are broke and need to save save save you need money to spend money so the next few weeks will be very low key. I can't believe it's Dec already!! It's 34oC today and I believe it's absolutely freezing there? Xmas here in the sunshine is just not right somehow. Friday Vic, my cousin Glenn and I are going to watch Oasis on concert so we looking forward to that! Once again Thanks Leslie & Tom!
