O sleep why dost thou leave me!
By the time we've had breakfast I'm exhausted. At least breakfast is nice. I have French toast and hot chocolate. We walk to the closest hop on hop off bus stop and wait. Today we do the official route. We get off at the last stop and walk around the streets. Lots of things don't open to 11 or 12 because they stay open so late. There are street sweepers with twig brooms. We go to the flower market but it's mostly bulbs! Some ship all over the world. We browse stores on the way to the carnival. There is a great English bookstore 3 stories high! We get more fries at the carnival and enjoy them with our lentils. Then we splurge on waffles with toppings! Yum! We wander around checking out the different games. Some look fun. It's loud and lively. There are so many bikes everywhere! They have bike parking 3 stories high! And along every street it seems. The canals and bridges add a cool atmosphere. There are these tiny 1-2 man cars. They almost look like a covered in thin 4wheeler. Electric cars too. Plugged into ports.
We head back to the hostel and take naps. Two hours later I emerge feeling better and help Mal plan some more. After a few hour planning session we head out for recommended pizza, which is good. The night life is better than the day life! And the lights make it look great too. Lastly supermarket shopping for tomorrow's 8 hour bus ride to Berlin. And ice cream.
