Saturday 17 October
Big fat square pillows. Not my favourite for sure! After we get up and eat delicious falafel pita's we head out and walk around the town some more. We walk along the canal's and see our first windmill. And also houseboats. There is a market happening. It's always interesting to see what's being sold and how. Pillows and mattresses, sausage, cheese and fries, dried fruit and nuts, clothes, underwear and electronics. Back at the hostel we watch a sermon on the basics and there importance and I have a needed nap. Once I wake we have a light lunch snack and head out again to walk the streets and fields and find four more windmills. It's really nice. Biking and scootering is the thing here! It's impressive the system they have going. We sit near the hostel a bit being returning. There is a French fry place we want to check out. A car knocks a parked bike over sending groceries flying. Broken eggs and glass. But it's quickly cleaned up. At the hostel we get a knock at our door informing us of a barhause evening happening in the restaurant/bar area later. After sabbath we head out for French fries. But it's closed! Oh well. We enjoy the beautiful lights and atmosphere before dining on more falafel pita's. Movie night! And following the rugby. Kind of. Go all blacks.
