Thursday 8 October
It's weird how time passes. Should I keep track of it in the zone I've been in for the last few weeks? Or each change of the destinations. 3 hours of layover passes quickly and we are boarding again. A big double decker plane with at least 10 seats across where we are. Malcolm had a nap over the layover but I'm exhausted and get short rests. It's a very very long night. But we eventually arrive In Early daylight to London. Now we have to figure out how to get to the next airport and it doesn't seem to be on any of the signs. The stop we get off is right and we easily find the line to the airport. The next train is slow and it feels like it takes forever but we do get to Gatwick airport eventually. We find our desk only to fine we need to checkin before and print out our paper work before getting here otherwise they charge £45!! Crazy. Mal uses a public computer to print out the papers. It's a lovely afternoon and a short flight and soon we are in Dublin. We spend some time chatting with an Aussie couple before catching the bus into town. Its a short walk to the hostel and we are in separate bunk rooms. Once we are set up we head out for dinner to a vege restaurant with good reviews. They good is great and filling. After dinner we walk to the river and Malcolm gets some pictures. I'm so tired and desperate for sleep so we go back. After a shower and getting ready I put my earplugs in and eye mask on and sleep perfectly for 10 hours.
