Friday 23 October
We get up and eat from the remains of our last shop: bread and muesli bars. We buy tickets to the hop on hop off bus and get aboard. We spend the day exploring old bridges and castles, gardens and clocks and everything in between! It's a lovely sunny day and it feels odd to use my sunnies again after all the drab weather in the last few weeks. We stop back at the hostel to do some washing and I grab a quick shower first. The load is going to take nearly 2 hours! It's crazy! We have to leave it as we decide to do the last tour as it's after sunset. We make it just in time and enjoy the beautiful city with the sun setting. When we get back we discover that the dryer has broken and won't be looked at until tomorrow! Ah! What are we going to do with a wet load of washing. Thick pants and tops. The girl says just to hang in our room and doesn't offer anything else. We did see some racks in another part if the hostel, but they are not offered. Mal asks if we can just try it. It has errors, but it turns on and appears to be drying. We eat a big salad with egg and tofu for dinner, it's great. Unfortunately we discover the dryer doesn't work well and we have made a mistake with the bus booking. Not tomorrow's thankfully, and hopefully easily fixed. We cart the washing to our room and hang it around our bed. It's not ideal, but hey! The clothes now aren't too wet and will hopefully finish drying overnight.
