Monday 13th April
The night bus was ok, but I didn't sleep very well. We catch another bus to our hotel, but our rooms won't be ready till 12. So we go for breakfast. I'm hungry and very disappointed with the menu options and the pancakes I do order. The syrup isn't nice and Malcolm eats the rest of mine. We have to sit through a mini talk if the options to do in the city, then our CEO takes us on a walking tour of the city. Sucre is a nice city. It's a main source for concrete for Bolivia, and maybe even further. They are also known for their chocolate and hat factories.
It is nearly 12 when we return and our room is ready. Malcolm showers and we both nap. I have planned to go to the hat factory for a tour at 3pm. We catch taxis to get there. The tour is interesting. I enjoy seeing how the hats are made. I would love to have brought one, but now space. Most of the wool ones are about $10-20aud. We all don't fit in 1 taxi going back, so myself and Erin go with our CEO to catch a bus. She puts us on a bus and tells the driver where to let us off. Unfortunately there was miscommunication and they where two different places. We got a free city tour and a run of his route. On the way back he dropped us closer to our destination. At least it killed about an hour and a half!
We go out for dinner, mal stays back as he's feeling unwell still. It's just around the corner so it ends up being an early night.
