We have just arrived back to Cairns from our adventure at the Whitsundays. We hired a Chubby Camper and drove 1500KM from Cairns to Airlie Beach and back. We managed to get the van back in one piece without breaking down or having any problems. The roads are so different to in the UK, with just one big long road and hardly any other cars. We also saw far too many dead kangaroos.

When we arrived we found a fantastic campsite only two minutes from Airlie and had a lot of fun staying there. Airlie Beach is one of our favorite places and a really fun to be there for Luke's 21st.

On 5th July we managed to get on a sailing trip around the Whitsundays. Our boat, the Whitsunday Blue, was a 42 ft catamaran and there was only four other guests on board. We had a great skipper and crew who has just broke the world record for sailing around Australia. We had had perfect sailing, saw the beautiful Whitehaven beach and had great snorkeling. This really was the highlight of our trip.
