Day 40: I knew there was a reason I loved California...

After getting all of 45 minutes sleep last night,, I moved out of my seat at around 5am to watch the sunrise over northern calirfornia. It turns out, it pretty much all looks the same. Lots of hills and sand and many many fires still to be put out.

So, I sat and drank a lot of coffee and spoke to many people whos first reaction was "wow, you're English" Which is odd, as I spoke to about 6 other English people on the train. I spoke to one women who told me that she isn't normally this hypoactive, it's just the medication she is on. A guy asked me if I had seen his son - I didn't even know who his son was.

I spent most of the afternoon chatting with a guy who was travelling around the states too. And then we entered the Californian costal towns and I remembers exactly why i loved california so much. Everytown was so pretty and perfect looking.

Even though we left Seattle last, we still arrived in L.A early. The only time that In actually wanted the train to be late as I had a 9 hour wait in L.A. I was really nervous about that but turns out there was nothing to worry about. There were security everywhere and it was clean. Only single seats so I couldn't sleep there.

And then at 6am I boarded a train to San Diego...
