Had a wonderful time speeding down the east coast with Mum, Allan & Dave. We did some amazing things, here are the highlights; Cape Tribulation - Drive up to the tropical rainforest Kuranda Skyrail & Steam Train - Through the rainforest in a cable car Day at Great Barrier Reef - All snorkel and Dave & Amelia scuba dive Magnetic Island - Stunning views and sun! Dave & Amelia try jet skiing and hire scooters, Mum & Allan hire a mini moke (golf-cart) Whitsunday Boat Cruise - Amelia & Dave do 2 night trip and take in the beautiful Whitehaven beach, do amazing snorkelling and soak up the rays. Meanwhile Mum & Allan visit a wildlife park and do a helicopter ride over the reef & islands. Fraser Island - Hmmm, not sure about 4wd-ing yet! Very bumpy and not as scenic as imagined due to torrential rain. Oh and got stuck when the tide came in and nearly missed our ferry! Great day eh mum! Noosa River Cruise Australia Zoo - Crikey! We didnt see Steve but his croc's were there. 5* treatment at the Stamford Plaza Brisbane Then Al & Dave had to go back to work to start paying off their credit cards while me and Mum headed to Sydney for a week to spend some more! We saw all the sights including the Opera House, Darling Harbour, Circular Quay, walked over the Harbour Bridge for amazing views of the city. Took in a boat cruise of the harbour, a sightseeing tour of the city and a day trip to the Blue Mountains where it snowed for the first time in 10 years! Visited the aquarium and had some close encounters with massive sharks. How did we fit it all in! Had a brilliant time with them and was so pleased to see them. To Mum, Dave & Allan - Thanks for coming & for keeping me out of hostels for a few weeks! I think I've been spoiled, they seem much dirtier now! Lots of love, Amelia. xxx
