So we departed Paris this morning which was very sad :(

However we arrived in the lovely quaint medieval town of Brugge in Belgium, and it just the most beautiful place.
You really do think you've stepped back into another era.

Our hostel here is awesome, and we went on a free walking tour as soon as we arrived.

Every street is cobbled and we learnt that that the town itself is a world heritage site. The government invest money in keeping the city looking medieval.

Of course Belgium is most famous for two things. Beer and chocolate, and Brugge was no different.

We must have passed a least a dozen chocolate shops, and as we are in Belgium it seemed wrong not to get some. The chocolate really is amazing!!

As for the beer side of things, we are going to a beer tasting event held in the hostel bar later on and then onto a bar that sells over 300 flavours if beer. And as its Belgium they even do chocolate flavoured beer.

For dinner Ben had fries, - did you know fries actually come from Belgium. Here they are considered a local delicacy and the people have it with this sauce called. Which is a gravy type thing with meat in. Anyway from bens reaction they tasted good. Unfortunately I couldn't have any as the fries are triple cooked in animal fat :(
Sucks being vegetarian sometimes.

Anyway gotta go now to taste some Belgium beer.
