We depart on my birthday (30th June) for Johannesburg. We are then spending about a month making our way to Cape Town. We then start a 6 week overland trip up through Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania and then finish in Nairobi, Kenya.
We then fly to Bangkok on 8th September. From there we are touring for 16 weeks through Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and then down through Malaysia to fly out of Singapore.
We are then flying into Perth on 29th December and spending about 5 weeks working our way up to Darwin. Then its up to VirginBlue to get us to Adelaide where we will spend some time visiting Alex's Aunt on Kangaroo Island (Christmas Day No 1 beginning of Feb!). We then fly up to Cairns and start to make our way down the East coast via Brisbane (Christmas Day No 2 beginning of March ish at my Sisters!) ending up in Sydney at the end of March.
Then it is a short hop over the Tasman sea to Christchurch around 29th March! We have allowed 7 weeks to tour both Islands ending up in Auckland around mid May.
Next comes the Pacific Island of Fiji and the Cook Islands spending around 5 weeks between the two.
From the Cook Island having persuaded the travel agent we didn't want to fly to LA via Auckland we are flying direct to LA around mid June! This leaves us 2 weeks to visit Yosemite and the Grand Canyon before returning for my Birthday/Bore everybody about our awesome trip coming home party at the end of June 2008.
