The day started early with a tour of the city sights by bus, finishing with a visit to the second level of the Eiffel Tower. The views from this level were great however Brad wanted to go to the very top. We are so excited to have arrived in Paris. Seems strange that the airport appears to be in the middle of farmland. We were transferred to our hotel at the Hilton Arc de Triomphe - very nice - but as it was only 9am our rooms would not be ready for a few hours so we decided to start our sightseeing. Day 2 in Singapore and we joined a Singapore Walk in the colonial district which took us from St Andrews church through to Raffles Hotel where we partook of the famous Singapore Sling cocktail (mind you, only one as it was quite expensive). In the afternoon we visited Chinatown and looked at the fancy temples and shopping district before heading back to pack up for our flight to Paris that night.

We arrived in Singapore on Saturday evening and transferred to our hotel without any hassle. The next morning we used the hop on bus to visit the Singapore flyer - a huge ferris wheel which gave us excellent views of the city. After lunch at a 'fast food' restaurant which promoted 'bona-fide' chicken (which raises the question on what other places may serve as chicken) we visited the garden areas around the Marina Bay area which has huge artificial trees - q...

Brad and I are both finished work and are in our final preparations getting ready for our European trip..... there's bags to pack, haircuts to be had (and a bit of colour too),shopping, cleaning, cooking and lawn mowing to be done before the weekend. I`m pretty sure there won`t be enough hours in the day. Anyway,this post is just to test this site and check if the email links work before we head off. Next stop - Singapore!
