At 7.30am Susan and I were woken up to the sound of "Sabidee", which was the lovely lady bringing us our breakfast. Woken up to the sound of 100 roosters Esra and I were up at the crack of dawn. Dam roosters! Today we were leaving for our 2 daylong boat trip down the Mekong. We loaded our gear on to the boat and headed off for our first day on the boat. This morning we had an early start. We met in the lobby of the guesthouse and piled into a 2 vans for our 4 hr drive to the boarder between Thailand and Laos.
