First day of our safari today. We left Our hostel in the morning and about 30 minutes into our journey the truck broke down!! The brake drum had broken and could not get a new part as it was a public holiday so they took it off (with some help from Cam!) and we went back to our hostel to wait for a new truck. We finally arrived at Umvubi lodge at 8pm (5hrs later than we should have) We got treated to a meal and upgraded to a room which was great coz really would not have been fun putting our tents up for the first time in the dark. The lodge was really nice, it was a game reserve so we had lots of animals around us.

Had an early start today as we were picked up at 5:30am for our safari in Kruger National Park. We upgraded ours so we could do it in open trucks and go off road. We saw so much it was great, but only saw 4 of the 'Big 5' the leopards were hiding from us :( Kruger is huge (3.2 million acres) and very beautiful!
