Just a quick update. We went to catch our bus to Salta Sunday morning only to be told that it had left 3 hours early and the next bus to Salta was not until Tuesday! So we were pretty frustrated that they let the bus go early because we had already bought our tickets the day before. They claimed they had no record of our tickets being purchased but I think that was a lie. So we were stuck in San Pedro de Atacama for another two days!! It is a pretty small town which is good and bad. Good because we can walk around and it's safe but bad because there is not much to do. It's also a really popular tourist town so prices are pretty high. Despite that, Shelby and I did a lot of shopping for souvenirs here because we didn't have much else to do. Tonight we booked an astronomy tour which should be pretty awesome! We get to go with a guide out into the boonies somewhere and learn about astronomy, pick out different constellations and galaxies, and we are supposed to be able to see Saturn through a telescope. Other than that not much has happened here. We were still hanging out with Jack, Joe, and Adam from our salt flat tour who were here in San Pedro but Jack and Joe left to Santiago last night so now it's just Adam with us. He's also continuing on to Salta with us tomorrow (if we don't miss the bus again). Shelby and I got to make a few of our own meals here which was a nice change. They have lots of fruit and veggies here, including corn on the cob which we found yesterday (and I have been craving it for weeks!). We just cooked it up for lunch today and it was delicious. Also I posted the bungee jump video under the "videos" tab. I had to compress it so it's not great quality but it serves the purpose! Also my picture is of some massive kiwis we found! Alright that's my quick update. Looking forward to Argentina tomorrow.
