Tour starts today! Pretty excited to meet everyone and start exploring the country. Went exploring around San Jose again today with Kenny! Went up to the mall and the university and had lunch at hooters, first time for everything I guess. When we got back to the hotel a few other people from our tour had arrived. First day in Costa Rica today. Met a guy that is going to be on my tour. His name is Kenny and he is from Canada. Went for a wander down to the Main Street of San Jose. It is a pedestrian only street that runs for about 1-2 km. Very cool. Lots of actual shops but also heaps of people on the streets selling sunnies, DVDs, bags and fruit and vegetables. Reminds me of Asia a lot. Even the infrastructure is a lot like Asia.

Arrived in LA this morning. Technically it's the 11th jan, but oh well. Went out lookin for a waterproof camera but had no luck! Fly to Phoenix, Arizona this morning and then on to San Jose Costa Rica.

Flew out of sydney this morning for the big adventure! Am soo excited to see everything in the next 4 months or however long my trip ends up being. At the moment Central America is the place I'm most excited about. Maybe because it's my first stop. Have a 17 hour flight ahead of me which is not exciting in the slightest. Stop over in nadi, Fiji for a couple of hours then on to LA, America.
