It was a nice and early start for me today considering I was still jetlagged! I managed it all ok though and of course all my planning paid off and arrived at the Eurostar checkin just as Kylz called me to see where I was. When I am able to load up some photos (forgot my cable, dur) I will show you the size of Kylie's back for two days in Paris! Crack up! Kylz also had a wild limp happening due to her stair dancing incident she had a week before we were to leave.
We got on the train at about 9am and as we were loading our bags on and Kylie was having a hard time cause her's was soooo big and wouldn't fit, another Aussie guy helped her. Him and his wife walked past us to their seats and I looked at them again and thought, bloody hell, they are from Mount Isa! When the lady walked past again we asked her and sure enough they were! It's such a small world!
We arrived in Paris and then had to find our hotel and drag our luggage with us. This would be ok if Kylie wasn't disabled but the cobbled streets weren't doing her much good. I also lead us in the wrong direction first, whoops. We found the hotel eventually and was really surprised at the hugeness of Kylie's room. We got a great deal for this hotel and when I seen that I thought we had done really well. Until I got to my room! Mine was a box compared to Kylie's! It was clean and warm though with internet so that's all I need. The hotel staff have been really really lovely too. I would definitely stay here again.
After Kylie had rested the foot for a bit we went out to start sightseeing. I was very proud of my Isa friend. Her foot is killing her but she has definitely done some miles! It is nice and cold too so we need some stamina for that too. It was cold but the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. We went for a stroll up the Champs Elysees where we had a yummy lunch and seen a big fight between what appeared to be a man on a scooter who may have hit a man on a crossing. One of them was really not very happy at all! Wanted to film it but thought the attention might have turned to us if I did that!
We ended up at the Eiffel Tower and while we were there we seen a photo shoot in progress that turned out to be Katy Perry in very little clothing. She must have been soooo very cold! We waited there until the sun went down to see the Tower in lights as I have never seen that before. I was very chilly by the time we left there. We were on our way home on the Metro and another fight broke out on the opposite platform over someone who stole something by the looks of it. Wild these Parisians! We ended the day with an early night so we could be up and ready to go early the next morning....
