Starting the trip, we met Erin at Olive Garden for a Fathers’ Day lunch before leaving Albuquerque. We drove to the first of several Hampton Inns for this trip, this time the one on the south loop in Lubbock. We arrived by 6:30 and checked in then walked across two parking lots to get to Outback for dinner which was just okay. We had a car and driver reserved for the trip from the InterContinental to the airport in Sydney. I am glad that we did. When we went downstairs to leave, there was a long line to check out and lots of people in the lobby either waiting for transportation or waiting for their rooms.
