Just a quickie before going out for a Riverside dinner in Phnom Penh...

Arrived from Sihanoukville by public bus at around midday. Bit of hassle from Tuk-tuk drivers when alighting transport, but made it to hotel in one piece. No cockroaches or other vermin to welcome us.

Sombre afternoon visiting S-21 site (chilling reminder of Pol Pot's regime) and Killing Fields. Cambodia's histpry makes its capital a hard place to sum up-while looking to the future, the past very much remains (and rightfully so.) The people are friendly, despite obvious poverty and mental and physical scars.

One day left in the country, before heading to Vietnam (Nige's visa now showing the accurate date of entry!) Sad to be missing Easter day, but off on chocolate hunt as soon as sun breaks, so as not to feel too cheated.
