I saw the picture you took in Sydney, it's a shame that you guys didn't come to Melb. I bet it will be another different experience for . I just went to beijing at the end of last year, it's a big city, with very long history and I love it a lot. Anyway, just want to show my respect to you guys on what you are doing now. And oneday if I have a chance, I will have my own journey, to the world!
Enjoy the trip!!!!!
Good luck mate (the aussie's favouriate word)!

Hi you two.
loving the updates, China seems like a very interesting place to visit, although looking at those animal tails, I'm not sure I'd be too happy about ordering a take away!
Looking forward to your return. I'll have the cheese and salad cream sandwiches waiting!
Take care , be safe

Aaaahh! The memories of China....... I often think that when I tell people my travels in China were 'hardwork and tiring' that I must be just recalling the worst of it ..... but no..... your stories bring it all flooding back!!!! It was effing hard and I became an xpert at directions by pictionary. I cant beleive how calm and flat the waters of the Yangtze look. I was there before the dam was built and it was a very fast flowing river with hell hole towns and cities on its banks - now they are all brand spanking new. amazing to see the changes. Good luck with the rest of China - keep the pencil sharpened for those pictionary conversations. I had a 2 hour 'chat' with some honeymooners on the Yangtze cruise through just drawing our conversation ...... wierd place or what. have fun. see in in just over 5 weeks!!!!! God Save the full English breakfast, Tea and automatic washing machines!!

of course we are out here, reading everything that comes our way....life here seems dull compared with your stories of the language barrier in China!
