Hello from 'sunny' Lincolnshire! Finally, I am able to now follow your travels! Looks like you are both having a great time and getting to see some amazing sights. I'm not jealous... much! Sorry I didn't get to say goodbye before you left Dave, but I was caught up in new motherhood, as you know. Anyway, I promise to keep up with all your adventures from now on. enjoy yourselves! Lots of love, Joey xxx

well your NYE on a Rio beach makes my NYE in Earling seem like a Saga holiday! Fabulous tans! Phil were those really your strippy boxer shorts - I'm disappointed! Nice tans by the way! Is it antartica next? Keep the pics and updates coming as it makes waiting for my next vacation seem not so far away! Be safe..

Hi allsevenettes
One flaw of our site is the lack of a hit counter. Thus we have little handle on who is and who isn´t taking a peek.
With this in mind and in the interests of market research, we havecome up with a campaign. Read on...
We would ask each of you reading this message to send an email to [email protected]. No need to write a message - just a blank email.
In return for your efforts you will receive a free gift. Either a jpeg of Sue in the buff, or a close up shot of Phill´s Brazilian (yes, indeed, thats another story altogether).
We await your emails!

Hi Guys, hope you enjoyed Christmas Brazilian style, 30c sounds perfect to me, given that the snow is forcast in the southeast in the next couple of days, know where I'd rather be. Keep the updates coming, enjoy the America's.

Hi allsevenettes!
Ken - I didnt realise you were keeping tabs! Thanks for the message. Dont be hard on yourself - the weather wasnt much better here. Xmas eve and today, Boxing day, yes its in the 30s. But xmas day... ahhh, it rained all day! We walked defiantly to the end of Ipanema and back - 10kms, then sat in our room overlooking a deserted beach. Happy Hogmanay to you Ken, we will toast you too with a couple of ice filled Caipiranhas!
Pàula - Açai, or is it Açia?... anyway, its bloody marvelous stuff! Rio is bloody marvelous too, loving the place. We have managed to find ourselves a more modest hotel from 29th Dec until New Year - up the road in Flamengo. So, yes, we will be visiting Lapa for a few Antarcticas no doubt! New Year in Rio, we cant wait!
Charlotte - thanks for the message too, we really dont have a handle on who is and who isnt looking at the site!
Pip - hang on a second - what do ya mean you are going to Germany... how the flippin heck did you wangle that one? More details please - im furious! We have vowed to be set up in Buenos Aires for June - remember our night in Sports Cafe with the bed sheet? Revenge will be sweet!
Pool time, laters!

I'm just sitting here on Christams Day surroundied by mist and fog, and farting relatives (brussel sprouts) and asleep on the couch, so think yourself lucky. Preparing for Hogmanay, as it takes a week to organise. Will raise one to you ! Happy holidays.

Thanks Paula - we are thinking of you of course! We stayed at the Mercure by GRU and took the airport bus to Congonas airport for the flight to SDU. Absolutely loving it here - what a city! So glad to be in Latin America. We have our work cut out though, as the locals continue talking to us even when we have told them we dont speak Portuguese! We need to struggle through though as we will be learning Spanish in 6 weeks from now. Probably get an appartment in Santiago or Buenos Aires.
Merry Xmas! Off to Corcavado now!
Paula
Ola gringos!! Sorry I didn't get the time to send you info on places to stay in Rio, but I'm sure you won't have to sleep on the beach, and there's always the Copacabana Palace :-) . If you get the time try and go to some bars at "Lapa", a cool bohemian area, but make sure you get a taxi back! A place called Carioca da Gema has really good live music (samba de roda), and the atmosphere is great, find out the best day of the week to go. Ate mais! Paula
