We have just spent a lovely weekend in beautiful Brugge. It is a lovely city of medieval buildings, cobblestone streets and canals. We spent our first day just exploring the city. We did a self guided walking tour around all the main sights plus some further out from the main tourist haunts. It was lovely. Although packed with tourists there was a relaxed, gentle atmosphere to the place, which made for very pleasant wanderings of its streets. And very pleasing...

Here we are in beautiful, beautiful Switzerland. We are in Interlaken, a gorgeous little town between two lakes and surrounded by snow covered alps. It is just stunning. We have been so, so fortunate to have spent the last week and a half staying at a house in Germany with some friends of mum and dads, Eva and Christof. We intended on staying for about 3 days but have been so welcomed and so incredibly spoilt that 10 days later they still haven't gotten rid of us!! If they are too nice we may never leave!!
